School Pack Project
Many families in the rural areas of Vietnam struggle to make ends meet due to their difficult economic circumstances.
Seasonal employment, unemployment, low-paying jobs, poor housing, having only ‘just enough’ to feed families, illness and family divisions can cause long term difficulties for many parents and grand-parents affecting their ability to send their children to school.
Loreto Vietnam endeavours to support these families by providing the practical resources necessary for children to start school and to stay at school. This begins with the supplying of a full school set, including a school bag, books, a uniform, shoes and other needed school resources to enable students to commence a new school year with excitement and confidence.
Since 1997, Loreto Vietnam has distributed more than 20,000 school sets to primary school children across six rural provinces, delivering these essential items to help set the foundation for positive and engaged learning.
Just $25 provides a full school set for a disadvantaged student to continue their educational journey.
